VOTERS MEETING
Next Sunday, October 21, there will be a congregational forum between services to discuss agenda items for the Voters Meeting, which will be held Thursday, October 25 at 7 p.m. Please make note of these important meetings!

EVANGELISM MEETING
The Evangelism Committee will meet Monday, October 15 at 4:30 p.m.

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ MEETING
There is a Sunday School Teachers’ Meeting on Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. Please let Donna know if you are unable to attend.

MEALS ON WHEELS
It is Meals on Wheels time again!  There is always a need for more volunteers! Please see sign up sheet for  October 15th—19th.  If you have any questions  or concerns, please contact Gary or Pat Berget at 759-1321, or berget@paulbunyan.net.

FALL CLEANING
Thank you to all the people who helped clean the church for fall cleaning on September 29. All needed tasks did not get done. If you would like to help with this, the list of needed cleaning is on the bulletin board.

BOXTOPS
It’s time to bring in the Boxtops you have been collecting at home! Please drop them off by Sunday, October 21 as the Boxtops must be counted and mailed in by the end of October. In addition to Boxtops, we also collect Our Family UPCs, Tyson Project A+ labels, and Loaves 4 Learning labels, with all money going to the school special project fund. Drop off your labels anytime in the labeled drawers in the fellowship hall cabinet.

REMINDER: SCRIP
SCRIP cards are available for members to purchase. We have some cards on hand for Home Depot, Menards, Target, Walgreens, and Walmart. If you wish to purchase cards from other businesses, there is a form on the counter in the narthex to use for ordering. Orders are sent on Monday mornings. St. Mark’s share of profit is donated to the School Special Projects Fund. See Marjorie Gildersleeve or Nathan Bitter to place your order or if you have questions.

KIDS’ GROUP ACTIVITIES
The Kids’ Group Yearly Activities list is out in the narthex.  The Board of Education is looking for volunteers to head up each activity.  There is a suggested monthly activity, but volunteers can change the activity for that month if they so desire.

Kids’ Group is geared for grade school age and younger with some activities geared for all ages, some activities geared for younger ages, and some activities geared for older ages.  If you are interested in helping, please sign up for a month.  Someone from the board will contact you as your month approaches to make sure your needs are addressed.  If you have any questions, please speak to a board member or Mr. Bitter.

The ball has already gotten rolling on the October activity which is geared for all ages.  Hoff’s barn has been rented for the Fall Costume Party and Hay Ride.  It will be held on Friday, October 26th starting at 6 p.m.  More details will be coming out as the date draws nearer.

MEDITATIONS & FORWARD IN CHRIST
Donate your used Meditation books and Forward in Christ magazines.  These publications will be shared with the WELS Prison Ministry.  (Meditations and Forward in Christ only please; no other books or magazines will be accepted.)  Thank you for your donation.  Place them in the top right drawer of the cabinets in the narthex.

CHRISTIAN COUNSELING
Christian Family Solutions is our Synod’s counseling agency. Pastor Nitz is available for free pastoral counseling service whenever you or someone you know is in need. But if you or someone you know needs professional Christian counseling, Christian Family Solutions can provide it. They offer something called “Telehealth” coverage which enables you to meet with a counselor via the internet over a video chat. The cost is $75 per session. If you are unable to pay the cost for professional counseling, please speak with Pastor Nitz who can arrange for counseling through our congregation’s Member Assistance Program through the church. More information is available on the bulletin board.

TIME OF GRACE
Time of Grace ministry hosted by Pastor Mark Jeske (WELS) is available in our area at 6:30 a.m. every Sunday morning on Fox 9 KMSP.

BOX TOPS
Did you know that we collect Box Tops, Labels for Education, Our Family UPC labels and printer ink cartridges? Please drop them off in the labeled drawers in the cabinet in the fellowship hall. This is a great way to support our Christian day school!
