Easter Day, Mark 16:1-8
You see, the gospel is based on God’s undeserved love for us, NOT on what we’ve done or failed to do. You see, through the Gospel God stops being boss and becomes our loving Father.
5th Sunday of Easter, 1 Kings 18:16-45
Our God is exclusive He alone is the one way to a true meaningful life on earth, He alone is the one truth in the world of lies and deceptions, He alone is the one life through whom we have eternal life. Thank the Lord that He is in control!
4th Sunday of Easter, John 10:1-10
Knowing Jesus, the Good Shepherd, as your Savior means that you flee from any voice that tries to get you to doubt, worry or fear in life. Jesus rose from the dead to demolish doubt. Jesus forgave all your sins making God your dear Father in heaven and thereby squashing fear. Jesus has flung open the gate of heaven, himself, snuffing out worry!
And it’s knowing that Jesus is the gate, the he is the Good Shepherd that gives our lives true and constant security.
3rd Sunday of Easter, Luke 24:13-35
Jesus IS your Savior, Jesus IS alive, heaven IS your home, and it’s going to be great! That’s your sure hope! That’s your certain hope that carries you through whatever circumstances of life you face here on earth.
2nd Sunday after Easter – Confirmation, John 20:19-31
God had His Word written that we might KNOW and BELIEVE that Jesus IS the Christ – our Savior and that by believing in Him we might know that we HAVE life eternal.
Easter Sunday, Matthew 28:1-10
God loves you! Your sins are forgiven! Heaven is your home! God proved it by raising Jesus from the dead! Live with that ultimate certainty today and for the rest of your life! He’s risen! He’s risen indeed!
Good Friday, John 19:17-30
That’s why even in the midst of our sorrow over our sins, our sadness over what we have failed to be, we are still glad and call today “Good Friday” because, indeed, it is good, for our Savior did it all to save you and me.
